Workshops & Clinics
Michelle offers clinics on the following topics:
- Horsemanship Essentials – Learn and understand key foundational skills and exercises (a good place to start if you are new to horsemanship).
- Refined Horsemanship – Refine your foundation by improving your connection, communication, and confidence.
- Dressage Naturally Clinics
- Finding the Sweet Spot of Healthy Biomechanics – A Dressage Naturally clinic.
- Horsemanship and Jumping – A horsemanship approach to having your horse want to jump with you as well as exercises to help solve common problems.
- Liberty – Pursue a higher level connection on the ground.
Michelle offers workshops on the following topics:
- Various Dressage Naturally subjects
- Rider Position and Confidence – Improve your position and awareness in the saddle.
- Obstacles and Agility – Introductory level, engage your horse’s brain and body with fun exercises and challenges.
- Obstacles and Agility – Advanced level, engage your horse’s brain and body with fun exercises and challenges.
- Poles and Cavalettis – Challenge yourself and your horse with pole gymnastics.
- Liberty – Pursue a higher level connection on the ground.
Clinics
Typically 2-3 days, allows the student to immerse themselves in the material, giving ample time for learning with support and to come away from it with a good grasp of the material.
6-8 students (depending on topic and arena size).
Clinic usually runs from 9:00-5:30 with a 1.5 hour lunch break.
Please contact Michelle if you are interested in setting up a clinic at your barn. If you are located more than an hour away from Michelle’s home base, travel fees may apply.
Workshops
Typically 2-3 hours, gives you time to get a taste of a certain topic and have exercises you can take home to practice.
4-6 students (depending on topic and arena size).

Workshops can also be modified for a virtual version.
Horseless Workshops
Typically 1.5 – 2 hours (no horse needed). Gives students a chance to increase their skills and develop their eye on a particular topic without having their horse with them, creating new levels of understanding.
8 – 15 participants

- Detangle Yourself – equipment coordination and management.
- Your horse can do it, but can you? – Learn to get the feel of movement we ask our horses to do with our own bodies.
- Lateral Work with pool noodles – Learn and understand lateral work positions.
- Rider Position – Awareness exercises on the ground to help you in the saddle.
- How to be a better leader for your horse – ground simulations.
- Relaxation and Healthy Movement – Why is it so important and how do we get both together?
- Liberty – Demo, discussion, and Q&A.
- Trailer Loading – Safety, techniques, problem solving.
- Horse/human Boundaries and Communication – respect goes both ways!
- Round and Round – Techniques for better communication in the round pen.
- Demo, discussion, and Q&A.
